D&AD Impact is a new awards scheme set up jointly by D&AD and Advertising Week to celebrate the power of creativity to stimulate positive change, in a world that desperately needs all creative people to turn their attention to ‘doing well by doing good’.
D&AD Impact launched during the D&AD and Advertising Week Festivals in April 2016 and the inaugural judging and awards took place in September 2016, during Advertising Week New York.
The first ever D&AD Impact Awards amassed over 600 Impact entries, awarded 87 winners, gathered 1,200 ceremony attendees and brought 60+ expert judges together from a variety of industry cornerstones to deliberate and vote for the winners of the black, white, graphite and wood pencil awards.
This initiative is the result of a partnership between D&AD and Advertising Week. D&AD Awards are recognised globally as the ultimate in creative excellence whilst the D&AD Foundation inspires the next generation of creative talent and stimulates the creative industry to work towards a positive future. Advertising Week draws from brands, agencies, media, technology and startup companies, in addition to broader cultural communities to curate a hybrid of thought leadership and special events worldwide.
