How would you feel if someone told you that imagination can replace money when trying to help children in need? Thanks to the “Design for Children” project, UNICEF, the organization that dedicates its entire activity to support children, offers you a chance to color the life of vulnerable kids using only your creative side. Developed in 1949, UNICEF’s lively initiative is now expanding globally and represents a fund-raising activity that remains true to the noteworthy mission of United Nations.

The annual project invites creative audience from around the globe to share a balanced dose of imagination and design cheerful greeting cards for 2018/19. The vivid cards will be used by the institution to send best wishes to its business partners and clients.

The innovation platform Jovoto developed a ‘crowdstorming’ process for the NGO that enables designers and art enthusiasts to get involved in this heartwarming journey and give poor children a reason to smile, by submitting their unique design. The funds raised from the sales will go to supporting families in need.

So, if you decide to use your creativity and join the campaign, not only will your work be appreciated by UNICEF, you will also have the chance to win cash prizes worth a total of €5,500. Moreover, you will be providing much-needed help to people living in humble conditions, a noble and meaningful act.

To impress the jury, your design should include lots of colors mixed with festive, joyful, or simply graceful and unique styles. You can also insert nice visual elements like stars, snowflakes, angels, candles, cityscapes, or other Xmas-related themes. The organization kindly asks you not to include text in your card, except for the multilingual wishes and the date. Keep in mind that your proposal should not feature any religious motifs and should not contain the organization’s name or logo.

You can submit your ideas until September 4, but first, you’ll have to complete a free signup on Jovoto. If you don’t know how to start your creative activity, check out some of the concepts submitted so far:
