This “clear and white” fermented milk drink, called Kefírer, (a witty combination of the words “kefir” and “führer“) which started as a teaser campaign depicting the leader of the Third Reich and provoking the Czech society to a debate about fear, xenophobia and Nazism, has marched its way to the shops.

What started as an idea of three guys in the marketing industry, a spoof we may say, that provoked a great deal of curiosity and discussion on social media, became so popular that they decided to make their fans happy and release the product into the dairy-product battlefield.

From one billboard, to a micro-site and a Facebook page with circa 22.000 likes, these witty designs and copy (unfortunately only available in Slavic languages – yes even some Polish sites noticed its presence) are parading the Operation Clear Kefir to MyFood shops in Brno & Prague.

There is an agency yet to be connected to Kefírer. The three creatives behind this project are David Koutný, Tomáše Musil and Lukáš Lukeš from Brno, Czech Republic.

Let us know in the comments what you think about fighting fear with humour, and if you would give this product a chance.

If you still think that the drink itself is not bold enough, you can always visit Kefírer’s online shop and buy yourself a T-shirt or a mug.
