The company is hoping to catch the attention of millennials and other cereal lovers using a Tumblr page full of GIFs and a series of really uncanny videos. How uncanny? See yourself from the bird’s eye view at the end of the article. To give you a taste of the way Tiny Toasts are promoted, you can watch a clip from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and see Chance the Rapper and Skrillex teamed up in an amusing remix starring the new sugar-corn cereal.

Taking into account drop in cereal sales in the past decade, it still didn’t stop General Mills from launching the strawberry- and blueberry-flavoured cereal that uses real fruit and thus following the healthier life-style type of breakfast trend. Introducing the Tiny Toast – basically a really small version of a toast that is covered with sprinkles of real fruit and doesn’t contain any high-fructose corn syrup, artificial flavours or colouring – the company’s first new cereal brand since the introduction of low-fat cereal for women, Harmony, in 2001.

Mike Evenson, product developer at General Mill’s Innovation, Technology and Quality division said: “People told us that both varieties tasted real, and not fake like they typically associate with fruit-flavored cereals. We heard from several consumers that the Blueberry Tiny Toast tastes like a blueberry muffin, which is just awesome praise. That’s exactly what we were going for.” A question arises: Where are the creators going with the videos below? Let us know how you feel about these in the comments.
