Many of us tend to associate the most romantic time of the year with beautiful gifts, maybe even marriage proposals, and fancy dinners served in idyllic locations. In fact, some may say this traditional scenario is the perfect recipe for celebrating Valentine’s Day.

You would think that a Valentine’s Day meal at a fast food restaurant is a total failure, but this (probably) won’t happen if the two lovers choose a meal at Burger King Israel, which has a special gift for its customers. And after all of the unpleasant events that have taken place recently, to the point where companies are speaking up against building barriers between people, one can be glad that the fast food chain decided to cheer up its customers, provoking them with a romantic ‘adult’ meal. We do appreciate a bit of humor in our campaigns too.

At the same time, we understand people who would ask themselves “Who would possibly go to Burger King for a Valentine’s dinner?”, yet after seeing this new, and rather juicy, campaign by BK Israel, these kinds of traditions can be broken — which was the case with Japanese KFC restaurants becoming the country’s preferred spot for a Christmas Eve dinner. As for the burger-serving chain? It decided to spice things up with a kinky Valentine’s dinner, offering its clients an “Adult Meal.”

“Kids have got their ‘Kids Meal’. But what about grown-ups? Adults? Shouldn’t they have their own meal too? At least for Valentine’s?” is BK’s message for the adults. The new meal box features not only 2 Whoppers, 2 packs of French fries, and 2 beers, but more importantly a romantic adult toy — which can be a feather duster, a blindfold, or a sensual head massager. The food box that aims to replace a typical candlelit dinner is only available today, February 14th, at BK locations in Israel from 6 p.m. and will be accessible to adults.

To present their limited edition of Adult Meal packaging, BK Israel merged its forces with creative agency Leo Burnett Israel — who “believes in ACTS, not ads” — and launched a short video to introduce the unexpected meal box, and to also wish its clients a “Happy Valentine’s.”

If a trip to Israel isn’t on your check-list this Valentine’s Day, then the couples should also know that Burger King France has introduced the Valentine’s Cup. Remember the “Lady and The Tramp” spaghetti scene where Bella and the tramp manage to kiss each other when sharing the same spaghetti? Try having a soda instead, it’s less messy.

BK France’s new romantic soda cup clearly takes inspiration from the scene, and features two holes for two straws, so partners can share the same drink at the same time, without any spills. The special cup was available in all BK restaurants in France starting on 11th February and is still accessible on Valentine’s Day.
