If during their ordinary days PETA has accustomed us to a series of brutal ads, we can only imagine what the NGO has prepared for this year’s Halloween. It’s gruesome. It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted, and it will probably send chills through your spine that will make you cringe a bit. In partnership with Filmakademie Baden Württemberg, the organization literally ‘butchered’ the age-old ‘Old MacDonald Had a Farm’ song, just to make a point about the real-life atrocities that nowadays happen in the meat industry.

With the holiday that celebrates the dead just around the corner and curious by nature, PETA Germany went great lengths to visit the Old MacDonald’s farm. You know, just to see what’s hiding behind the farm’s thick walls. But much to the NGO’s surprise, the house, which at a first glimpse looked like a welcoming place, was, in fact, a place of horrors. A scene of murder. A spot where death feels like home and masters the farm’s every corner.

From PETA’s point of view, Old MacDonald’s farm is anything but peaceful. And the organization decided to show what really lies behind such farm’s walls via a series of images that make up a highly-macabre video, which sends the chills even to the most courageous people in the world. So, shall we get started?

The 80-second-film shows a young girl exploring the farm, whilst in the background, a group of kids are chanting the lyrics of “old MacDonald had a farm…”. But as our brave protagonist continues her adventure, she gradually discovers that the farm is more about gore and blood rather than happy cows and chickens. But ’nuff said. Just watch the video below to see how it all pans out at the farm. Careful though, the short film contains graphic images. If you’re highly-sensible, you should skip this part.

“The filthy feedlots, crowded sheds, and blood-spattered slaughterhouses of today’s meat industry look like something out of a slasher flick,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Anyone tempted to hide his or her eyes from PETA’s scary scenes can help stop the horror that animals face every day simply by choosing [to eat] humane vegan meals,” adds Reiman.

Some animals get so tortured that one can’t simply imagine. So, the NGO thought that Halloween would be the occasion for a payback. To get their revenge, PETA Latino in collaboration with Archer Troy, Central Films, and Rabbit House, released ‘Payback,’ another chilling video that’s intended to creep the viewer out. The campaign’s centerpiece is a two-minute-long video in which you can see what would happen if animals took revenge on humans. Again, we need to warn you that the video is only for those ‘stronghearted’.

This extreme reality shows things exactly as they are: animals raised for food endure severe crowding, beatings, kicking, and electric shocks. They are mutilated and butchered without any sort of medication. And the question PETA asks: If the roles were reversed, how would you feel?

If you did not have the courage to watch PETA’s movies, then we invite you to admire a series of posters that are exactly what you need to visually—and without any risks—experience this nightmare.
