You know that feeling when you finally get home from the office, lay down on the couch, and grab the remote control to play a nice movie? That’s the highlight of the day if you think about it. But no movie goes without a crunchy bag of chips. If you ask us, we often turn to a good old bag of Doritos. Ah, what a feeling! They simply go hand-in-hand with a movie night. Still, we could do without those nasty Dorito Fingers that we usually deal with in a very unorthodox way: by wiping our fingers on jeans, shirt, friends, pets, or even the sofa.

But this issue we are all so familiar with—hands covered with stubborn Doritos crumbs—finally has a brilliant solution. Dear readers, we give you the “Doritos Towel Bag,” a bag made entirely of terry towel cloth so you can have something more suitable to wipe your fingers off on.

Cleverly sewed by Tel-Aviv-based creative & innovation agency Gefen Team—which specializes in innovative packaging, special editions, and storytelling through packaging—for the PepsiCo-owned brand Doritos, the bag introduces an ingenious way to deal with those greasy fingers that come with a delicious bag of tortilla chips.

The solution for this very serious problem is also eco-friendly. By being machine-washable, the bag is reusable and sustainable. According to its creators, the Towel Bag shouldn’t replace the normal bag of Doritos, but it is a good addition to the regular bag, serving as a unique pouch that suits Doritos bags of various sizes. The agency has summed it up nicely: the recipient is “the problem and the solution, packed together in a neat little Towel Bag.”

But it’s not only “regular people” that struggle with this issue. There are entire communities that have trouble with Dorito Fingers. An example of such communities is that of gamers, who enjoy eating chips but hate putting their greasy fingers on the keyboard. Doritos has now offered a helping hand (no pun intended) by partnering with BUG, the largest gaming retailer in Israel. As part of their campaign targeting this community, gamers were the first to try the Doritos Towel Bag, with leading Israeli gaming YouTubers at the forefront.

“This humorous product from Doritos Israel comes with a hint of self-awareness, and proves that even the smallest, simplest problems are worthy of a brilliant solution,” claims the agency in a press release. We’ll take the chance and continue with this statement: We are now free to snack as we please without worrying that our T-shirts or pants will be dirty with Doritos’ ‘magical’ dust.

It’s a pity that the bag has been made only for the Israeli market. Imagine the impact it would have if it were to be launched in the rest of the world! Football fans would not only wipe their fingers off on the towels, but they would also soak up the anxious sweat that comes from watching their favorite teams play. Just think about it…
