Competing with Silicon Valley tech giants is hard work, but Seoul-based ProtoPie company isn’t shy at all. The brand’s name is already known in the industry, as its services are used by some of the world’s greatest companies, from HBO and Microsoft to Google and GoPro, that reached out to the company in order to fulfill their most ambitious design ideas. It goes without saying that the time has come for the brand to introduce itself to consumers in North America.

As partners, ProtoPie chose Zerotrillion agency and award-winning Los Angeles-based Psyop, that came up with a campaign that calls you to “Free Your Ideas.” As a source of inspiration for this initiative are designers and their experiences of letting an idea get lost because they “feel limited in the process of gaining understanding or support from others,” says former Google innovation alumni and ProtoPie Founder, Tony Kim. “We want designers to feel that ProtoPie supports their greatest ambitions, by constantly removing barriers to exploring and realizing new ideas,” he continues.

The campaign materializes in the form of a video, in which we see how annoying, yet also blissful, ideas can be. Ideas are represented as bubbles that follow their host wherever they go. It’s like watching the world’s worst jinx, Joe Btfsplk, casually walking by. Yet, that dark, rainy cloud that hovers over these people’s heads can change into something good, if they know how to deal with it. And so, we see the protagonist of the video finally accepting his own “cloud,” which he carefully processes in order to bring to life. He takes control of the situation and rushes to the office, where he uses ProtoPie to share his idea with his colleagues.

“Having a great idea comes with mixed emotions,” says Adam Fierman, partner and Global CD of Zerotrillion. “Sure, you’re excited to make it, but you also know the price of really committing to it — the hours, the obsession, the distraction from other projects. A new idea can be all-consuming, but if it stays in your head it’s practically worthless. This is a human struggle we all face, which is why Free Your Ideas feels so personal and familiar. We partnered with Psyop not just because they are world-class storytellers and animators, but because they, as creatives and designers, understand this insight as well as anyone possibly can.”

Now that you have the perfect HP equipment and the right software, you can start working on your ideas and turning them into something that inspires the whole world.
